Conte: We deserved more against Napoli

Antonio Conte said that Inter “deserved” more in the cup match against Napoli. While he stressed that Romelu Lukaku “should improve”. He has confirmed that Stefano Sensi will be out for the remainder of Serie A.

Inter will face Napoli tomorrow in Serie A and the busy schedule has made them have poor results. Especially in recent games. However, Conte thinks positively about this.

“It simply came to our notice then. We have to take things in a positive light and learn from such situations.” Conte told the club’s official website. “Playing every three days has made us see this in a positive way to use in the future.”

Conte has managed to help some players who were in poor physical condition. Such as Andrea Ranocchia and Borja Valero during their difficult program

“We are talking about a group of very serious footballers who have worked hard.” added Conte. “Ranoccia has always responded positively to my requests when entering the match.”

Inter had won the return leg 3-1 in San Paolo but were eliminated from the Italian Cup, with Napoli winning the trophy.

“In the league match we did in a good match, but in some forms our best match against Napoli this season was the return match in the Coppa Italia.” he said.

“We deserved it very much. We are still talking about a very strong team that during these years was contenders to win the Scudetto, they were even close.”

“A team with very good players that has been strengthened a lot. “They have also won the Italian Cup this season”, said Conte, among others.
