Fati continues with Barcelona, 400 million euro clause
The Spanish winger, Fati has renewed the terms of his contract with the Camp Nou squad until he is officially promoted as a first team player.
Ansu Fati has signed a long-term contract with Barcelona. Which includes a 400 million euro release clause.
He will now wear the number 22 that was released by Arturo Vidal. He has signed an agreement that leaves him in Barca until 2024. After having a good season in 2019-20.
The 17-year-old’s original deal would expire two years from now. But Blaugrana has managed to improve it and increase the clause to 400 million from the 230 million he had.
Barca have also announced that Fati will be a senior player on the squad as he turns 18 on October 31 and is expected to play a much bigger role in the squad in the new La Liga season. Which started last weekend.
At the age of 16 years and 298 days, the Spanish striker became the second youngest player in the history of the club to make his debut with this team. And did so in Barcelona’s 5-2 victory against Real Betis on August 25, 2019. Before becoming the youngest goal scorer of all time in the 2-2 draw against Osasuna a week later.
