Guardiola after Man City's conviction: I will stay here 100%, the truth will prevail
Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola insists he will stay at the club 100% and believes the truth will prevail after City’s exclusion from European competitions.
Premier League champions City were expelled from the Champions League for two years. UEFA fined them 30m euros last week for serious breaches of financial fair play rules.
Manchester City announces that it will appeal UEFA’s decision to the Sports Arbitration Court.
“We will complain. When one believes he is right he fights to prove it, “Guardiola told the BBC.
“We are professionals in the field. However, there is not much we can do about what happens outside of it,” he added.
Asked about the future no matter what the outcome of the club’s complaint against the suspension from European competitions, Guardiola said: “If they do not dismiss me, I will be here. I love this club. I love being here. In conclusion, this is my club and I will be here regardless.
“The club has to fight and I trust the club 100%,” he added.
