Inter's directors travel to London to close deal with Eriksen
Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio is reported to have flown to London in order to secure a deal for Tottenham Hotspur’s midfielder Christian Eriksen. According to Calciomercato.com, FCInterNews.it and some other media, Ausilio will be in England this afternoon for intense negotiations, with the intention of taking the Danish with him to Milan.
The Nerazzurri are stepping up their game following reports from France and England that Paris Saint-Germain intend to bid.
Eriksen will be a free agent in June and Tottenham will want 20 million euros for an immediate sale, while Inter’s initial offer was just 10 million plus bonuses. It was also reported this morning by Sportitalia that the club’s bid had increased to 15 million plus bonuses.
Now it looks like Inter is set to sign the player within the next few days, while Matias Vecino could be included as part of the offer.
The Spurs have already brought in Eriksen’s replacement, securing Gedson Fernandes from Benfica this morning.
