Lawyer returns to talk about the past: I deserved more Scudetto
Fiorentina and Argentine legend Gabriel Batistuta admits he was convinced in Serie A, saying he “deserved” to win more than one championship title.
The renowned striker, who turned 50 earlier this year, played in Italy from 1991 to 2003 and was once considered the number 9 best in the world.
He practiced magic with Fiorentina from 1991 until 2000 before moving to Rome, where he won the one and only Scudetto.
However, the Argentine believes he deserved to win more than one Serie A title.
“My whole career was focused on trying to win with Fiorentina. I didn’t succeed, but I gave it my all.”-Batistuata initially told to the official Serie A channel on YouTube.
“When I realized that I had given up everything, I decided to change clubs and go to Rome, where I won.”
“Personally, I think I deserved it. I made a lot of sacrifices to get there and I deserved to win, to be a champion at least once.”-the Argentine concluded.
Batigol scored 20 league goals in helping the team win the 2000-01 season – its first season at Olympico.
