Mane warns rivals: Liverpool will not stop
Sadio Mane has made clear his ambitions to win even more trophies with Liverpool. Following his Premier League triumph. While insisting that Jurgen Klopp’s side need to take another step towards greatness.
Liverpool’s first triumph in England’s elite football league in 30 years came after Manchester City’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea last Thursday, as Liverpool now hold a 23-point lead at the top of the table with just seven games remaining to the end.
Klopp’s boys have set new standards for the Premier League triumph this season, winning 28 of the 31 games played so far, to take revenge for failing to score one point in the race against Manchester City for the Premier League title last season.
Liverpool are expected to be one of the dominant teams in English football in the coming years, but Mane has warned that the whole team should stay hungry for trophies if they want to continue with triumphs.
“I think this is another step in our career to move towards what we want to achieve, because as footballers we always have to be professional and hungry, in a good way, to win everything,” said Mane.
“I think we have a great team, a great staff and the club is great, so we have to take another step and achieve great things because we don’t want to stop here.”
“We just have to believe in ourselves and keep working hard and, of course, be modest. We have to work hard and achieve bigger and bigger things with this club.
