Lionel Messi will not leave Barcelona for Man City or Juventus
Rivaldo expects Barca’s 10 to retire at Camp Nou. Leo has been part of Barcelona since the age of 14. He has broken records and written history, until he has become the best of all time.
Lionel Messi will not go to Manchester City or Juventus, says Rivaldo, who has backed the Argentine to stay and retire at Camp Nou.
The situation is currently not good at Barca, following the controversy between Abidal and Messi, which prompted the media to report a possible departure of the 32-year-old from the Spanish champion.
Manchester City, Juventus – are the clubs that would do their best to have a champion like Messi, however, Barcelona legend Rivaldo thinks Leo is well where he is.
“I do not mind the speculation that Lionel Messi will leave Barcelona at the end of the season,” Rivaldo said.
“Honestly, I think he will end his career at Camp Nou. He has been a part of Barca since the age of 14. He has a great relationship with the club and the club with him too, so I don’t think it would be good to leave.
“I see him as a player for just one club, like Francesco Totti at AS Roma or Rogerio Ceni at Sao Paulo.”
“It’s hard to think that one day you can see Messi playing against Barcelona in the Champions League, so even if he leaves in the future, I imagine he will be out of Europe, in China or in the MLS.”
