Mourinho: Kane and Son have recovered
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho says Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min have recovered from their injuries, although they may not be fully ready for a potential Premier League resumption in June.
England captain Harry Kane suffered a serious injury in the game against Southampton on New Year’s Day. While Son broke his arm during the win against Aston Villa the following month.
They were expected not to return until next season 2020/21. But the league has already been postponed due to the suspension of matches since March.
This suspension has caused many Jose Mourinho players to have time to recover from their injuries. So that they can return to help their team in the remaining matches of this season, if it is decided for the restart of the championship.
“I can’t say they’re ready to play because one thing is to recover from an injury and quite another to be ready to play football.” said Mourinho, after saying Kane, Son, Moussa Sissoko, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela and Steven Bergwijn have recovered from their injuries.
“In Harry’s case, I think he hasn’t played for five months, but no one is hurt anymore. They are training and the exercises are as they are at the moment, with many limitations. We can’t compete, we can’t play one-on-one, we have to keep our distance. ”
“Harry Kane, Son, Bergwijn, Sissoko are all fine. I think with two or three weeks of normal training, they will be ready. Of course, they will not be in their best shape, but I don’t think anyone will be in that situation. “
