Pirlo is expected to be appointed coach of the Juventus U23 team
Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo is getting ready to start his career as a coach. As Goal reports that Juventus will entrust him with the management of the U23 team.
The former Italian midfielder, Pirlo has reportedly reached an agreement with the Serie A giants to take over the position of coach of the U-23 team held by Fabio Pecchia. Who sent the whites to the quarterfinals of the draw for promotion to Serie B.
This agreement between Pirlo and Juventus is expected to be formalized in the coming days.
He had enjoyed an impressive career as a professional footballer. Part of which, from 2011 to 2015, he spent at Juventus.
His influence as a personality and his skills as a midfielder helped Juventus win four consecutive Serie A titles during his time at the club. As well as the 2014/15 Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup in 2012 and 2013.
After his impressive career as a footballer, Pirlo will now start his career with the U23 team of Juventus. After retiring in 2017, after three years with the American club New York City FC.
Goal reports that former Juventus goalkeeper Marco Storari will also be part of Pirlo’s staff in the U23 team, as the 43-year-old will take on the role of sporting director.
