The richest man in Africa wants to buy Arsenal
Aliko Dangote has said he wants to buy Arsenal in 2021 if some of his projects are completed on time.
The richest man in Africa loves the Londoner club and will strive to become the sole shareholder.
The 62-year-old owner of Dangote Group has in the past been linked with a potential acquisition of Arsenal.
Aliko’s current wealth exceeds ten billion euros and is ready to buy the club from current owner Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.
Stan Kroenke has so far refused to sell the club, as he has had lucrative profits, but if he accepts a sum of three billion dollars, then he may give up.
“Arsenal are a club I want to buy. I may publicly admit that I am interested in buying it, but initially I am waiting for a 20 billion euro project to be completed.”-Dangote said.
“I am completing the construction of my company and in 2021 will probably try to buy Arsenal.”- he added.
The Gunners are in the midst of a transition and for now would have helped a lot of owners to invest in the squad.
