Valencia reappoints the same coach for the sixth time
Valencia have fired coach Albert Celades, following a poor performance. A well-known face for the club and the players will now return to the coaching post.
Assistant coach Voro will take over the management of the first team as interim coach until the end of the 2019/20 season of La Liga. This will be his sixth time as Valencia coach.
Voro, who also played for the club as a player for nine years, had previously won 18 of the 36 games he had played for Valencia as interim coach.
Valencia have won just one of five La Liga games since returning from a three-month break. Meanwhile, the Spanish club has not managed to get more than two victories in 13 previous matches in all competitions.
Celades, who took over the club from Marcelino in September, leaves the club in eighth place in the La Liga table, eight points away from qualifying for the Champions League.
They will now face Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, have also confirmed that sporting director Cesar Sanchez has resigned.
