Mark Andrews catches 14-yard TD pass from Lamar Jackson in traffic

BALTIMORE — Tight end Mark Andrews staked the Baltimore Ravens to an early 9-0 lead against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday with a record-tying reception.

With 3:49 left in the first quarter, Andrews leaped over Philadelphia safety Reed Blankenship in the end zone for a 14-yard scoring reception. Andrews’ 47th touchdown of his career tied running back Jamal Lewis for the most in franchise history.

On the score, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson received excellent protection, getting 5.51 seconds from snap to throw, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. This was Jackson’s fifth touchdown pass this season with at least five seconds to throw, which is the most in the NFL.

After the touchdown, Baltimore kicker Justin Tucker’s extra point hit the left upright, which continued his struggles this season. It was Tucker’s second missed extra point this season.
