Calhanoglu, close to renewing with Milan, may not play this week
AC Milan and Hakan Calhanoglu have made good progress in their new contract talks, reports Calciomercato.
Calhanoglu seemed to be leaving the red and blacks as he had difficulty in negotiations.
Milan reportedly increased their offer from 4 million euros salary per year, while his agent reduced the demands to five million. Suggesting that this is how they came to an agreement.
Until Theo Hernandez is back in training today, Hakan has yet to be seen. Causing him to miss the trip to Cagliari.
Both Theo Hernandez and Hakan were absent from yesterday’s training session. But until the left-back is seen today at Milanello’s training camp, the midfielder looks unlikely to play.
According to Sky Sport Italia, 99.9 percent seems that the offensive midfielder will not be ready for Monday’s Milan match in Serie A against Cagliari.
This will be a heavy blow for coach Stefano Pioli. As Rafael Leao will also be absent due to suspension.
Moreover, Ante Rebic and Rade Krunic are still positive. With Ismael Bennacer and Matteo Gabbia missing due to injuries.
