Ferrari "blinds" by 2024 Leclerc: I'm very happy for the renewal
A new 5-year contract as a Christmas gift. Ferrari officially “blinds” Charles Leclerc by 2024. The new deal was made official on Monday morning, with the French pilot’s salary tripled. So the existing contract with Reds, which expired in 2021, has been extended for another three years.
The first world championship with Ferrari was very positive for Leclerc, who finished in fourth place with 2 Big Prizes and 7 “pole positions”. He did better than his German teammate, Vettel, who earns 35 million euros a year. That was one more reason why he had to raise his salary significantly.
Immediately after the new deal is announced, Leclerc’s words come:
“I am very happy to have renewed my contract with Ferrari. The season I ended up as the pilot of the most prestigious Formula One team was a dream for me. I’m looking forward to deepening the already strong relationship that keeps me connected with the team after an intense and exciting 2019. I look forward to the future, ready to start the new season. “
