Lazio's request is rejected, Sarri's sentence is not reduced
The FIGC has rejected Lazio’s appeal to reduce Maurizio Sarri’s suspension after being sent off in the match against Milan.
Sarri was not involved in the 2-2 draw with Cagliari last weekend. And will not be against Torino on Thursday either. As the request for his two-game suspension has been rejected.
The coach was penalized after his reaction to the loss to Milan. But sent a complaint to the FIGC.
“The First Section of the National Court of Sport, chaired by Carmine Volpe, rejected Lazio’s appeal against the two-game disqualification sanction. Imposed by sports referee Maurizio Sarri following his sentencing in Milan against Lazio.” the FIGC said in a statement.
The coach, however, will return for the Derby della Capitale this weekend. When Lazio hosts Roma at the Olimpico.
