Lingard is expected to stay at United until at least the summer
Sky Sport has announced that the Manchester United midfielder, Lingard is not expected to leave this winter.
According to them, this will happen because Lingard’s contract expires during the summer months.
“More chances to stay at United until the summer when his contract expires. Because if he does he will be a free agent. And he will have more choices than where to spend the rest of his career, in Europe or in the Premier League. Because Premier League clubs are also interested in him.” said Sky Sports journalist Sharmesh Sheth.
He had the success of being loaned out to West Ham and this led him to return to the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad that was in his plans. But he failed to show his values.
He is not finding comfort even with the new coach, Ralf Rangnick. As he has not started in any match and has played only 11 minutes under his leadership.
Furthermore, it has been rumored that United are wanting to sell him to West Ham, to generate finances. But it looks like this will not happen as West Ham is already considered one of the rival teams to finish in the top four in the Premier League.
