Ozil: I never regret joining Arsenal
Mesut Ozil says he will never regret joining Arsenal, the club with which he broke off relations and from which he is expected to leave soon.
Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013, for a sum of around 45 million euros.
He proved immediately successful in north London. Helping the club win the FA Cup three times and the Community Shield once. In the 2015/16 edition, he was selected as the player of the season.
However, in recent years, his role has been destroyed to the point that coach Mikel Arteta has excluded him from his squad list in every competition this season.
Asked if he enjoyed his time at Arsenal, Ozil replied: “Of course. There have been ups and downs so far, but in general I never regret joining Arsenal.”
