Serena Williams kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a music video on her Instagram page, reminding women of the importance of early detection.

Williams, who has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles and is one of the most accomplished tennis players in the history of the sport, posted a video of herself singing “I Touch Myself” by the Divinyls in a partnership with the I Touch Myself Project.

“Yes, this put me out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to do it because it’s an issue that affects all women of all colors, all around the world,” Williams wrote on Instagram. “Early detection is key – it saves so many lives. I just hope this helps to remind women of that.”

The I Touch Myself Project launched in 2014 and is designed to raise awareness about early detection, which can play a key role in treatment and allow for a wider variety of treatment options, according to the American Cancer Society. Breast cancer is the most common cancer found in women, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
