Thomas Tuchel: I am here to win titles

Thomas Tuchel has said that he has joined Chelsea to win trophies. And is convinced that the London club has the culture needed to achieve its goals.

The Blues have not won any trophies since 2019. When they won the Europa League under the leadership of Maurizio Sarri. But this year, now under Tuchel, Chelsea are vying for trophies in the Champions League and FA Cup.

Chelsea will seek a place in the semi-finals of the Champions League today. When they meet Porto in the return leg of the quarter-finals. The London club will face Manchester City for a place in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Asked at a news conference on Monday if the Champions League was the clearest way to winning a trophy this season, Tuchel replied: “Maybe if we reach the final.”

“We are in the second quarterfinal match of the Champions League. You can not find a team that does not aim for the semifinals. We are also in the FA Cup semi-finals and have the opportunity to go to the final. If we reach the final, we will have a chance to win the trophy.” he added.

“I have nothing to hide. This club has the culture and structure to win titles and win games in a row. I’m here to win titles. “I am here to win matches and, as a result, titles.” he underlined.
